Charity Belles 2013
This year we supported the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance - http://www.kssairambulance.org.uk/Community/SussexAirAmbulance
The Sussex Air Ambulance first came into existence in 2007 and responds rapidly to 999 calls with a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) and air ambulance service, serving the people who live, work or travel through the counties of East and West Sussex.
Their highly skilled team of Doctors and Paramedics can arrive at the scene of most emergencies anywhere in Sussex within 15 minutes to provide swift medical intervention.
Patients can be transferred by air, fast and unhindered to an appropriate major hospital or specialist unit, dramatically improving chances of survival and a speedy recovery.
We at Biking Belles feel this is an important charity to be involved with and to support, so all monies raised this year through various fund raising events will go entirely to ths charity. Our goal is £1,000 if we meet this or indeed exceed the amount we will be thrilled!
So, if you are able to please make a donation to this very worthwhile cause

Charity Belles 2012
In 2012 we decided to support two local and well deserving charities: The Sussex Snowdrop Trust (www.thesussexsnowdroptrust.com) and Brent Lodge Bird & Wildlife Trust (www.brentlodge.org).
We are proud to say we raised over £2,000 and in October 2012 we presented our cheque to the Sussex Snowdrop Trust. The Southdown Velo Cycling Club (www.southdownvelo.org.uk) very generously made a donation to our final cheque to the Snowdrop Trust.
The Charity Belles plan to become involved each year with local charities in the Chichester and district area. We will choose a different charity each year. The charities could vary from perhaps providing equipment for the treatment of women, which could be brought to our attention by the medical prrofession, or perhaps recommended by a friend, a relation or a colleague, to supporting local animal health trusts, children's charities etc.
Whichever cause or causes the Charity Belles decide to support, the overriding concern is that we raise as much money as we can, which would help in some way to bring about comfort, care and progress to a well deserving cause.
Our chosen charity for 2013 has yet to be decided.
